About the employer

Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort is a full-service Marriott International property located near Caleta de Fuste on Fuerteventura in Spain's Canary Islands. The resort combines beachfront accommodation with golf, spa facilities, restaurants, leisure activities, and conference or event services. As part of the Sheraton brand, it aims to provide comfortable, sociable hospitality for international leisure and business travelers while maintaining Marriott's service, operational, and commercial standards. The hotel operates in a highly seasonal and competitive destination market, making effective revenue management particularly important. Marriott International is one of the world's largest hospitality companies, operating a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across many countries. Employees may benefit from structured training, international career opportunities, brand resources, and associate travel programs, subject to local terms and eligibility.

Working in Spain Islands

Spain's main island job markets include the Canary Islands, such as Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote, and the Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, Ibiza, and Menorca. Tourism creates opportunities in hotels, restaurants, revenue management, events, housekeeping, maintenance, wellness, and customer service, with the strongest demand before and during the seasonal peaks. Island culture is relaxed, social, and strongly connected to beaches, local food, festivals, and outdoor activities. Fuerteventura offers a quieter lifestyle, water sports, sunshine, and lower density than larger resort islands, although housing and transport can be challenging in popular areas. EU and EEA citizens can work in Spain after registering and obtaining the required identification and social-security documentation. Non-EU candidates generally need an employer-sponsored work permit or another valid visa, and should verify requirements with Spanish authorities. Spanish is useful, while English and other European languages are valuable in hospitality.
