About the employer

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is a luxury island resort operated under Marriott International’s St. Regis brand. Located on Vommuli Island in the Dhaalu Atoll, the resort is known for refined accommodation, private villas, personalized butler service, fine dining, spa experiences, and carefully designed marine and island activities. St. Regis properties focus on elegant hospitality, highly individualized guest care, and distinctive traditions associated with the brand. Employees work with international guests and colleagues in a polished, multicultural environment. As with many Maldivian resorts, staff benefits commonly include shared accommodation, meals, uniforms, medical support, service charge eligibility, and transportation arrangements. The resort offers hospitality professionals opportunities to develop experience in luxury service, guest relations, food and beverage, recreation, and resort operations while living in a secluded tropical setting.

Working in Maldives

The Maldives offers hospitality jobs across luxury resorts, hotels, restaurants, diving centers, spas, marine activities, and corporate services. Resort employment is especially common for candidates with experience in guest service, culinary work, housekeeping, engineering, wellness, and management. Maldivian culture is shaped by Islam, island traditions, fishing, family life, and strong community values. Resort islands provide a relaxed but structured lifestyle, with beaches, watersports, diving, and marine wildlife, although they can feel isolated from cities and mainland conveniences. Alcohol is generally restricted outside licensed resorts, and modest dress is expected on local islands. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored employment approval and work permit; employers typically arrange the process after hiring. A valid passport, medical checks, police clearance, and authenticated documents may be required. Confirm current immigration rules, contract benefits, flights, accommodation, and leave terms before relocating.
