Willingness to work in a shared-services environment and accommodate international time zones may also be required.
EY, formerly Ernst & Young, is a global professional services organization providing assurance, tax, consulting, and strategy and transactions services. Its clients include multinational companies, governments, entrepreneurs, and growing businesses. EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS) network supports its member firms worldwide through specialized teams in areas such as tax, accounting, technology, analytics, finance, and business operations. The Philippines is one of EY’s important delivery locations, with offices and professionals serving international engagements from hubs including Taguig. EY promotes professional development through structured learning, technical training, and opportunities to work with global teams. The organization also emphasizes integrity, inclusiveness, collaboration, and helping clients respond to business, regulatory, and technological change. Job responsibilities, benefits, and employment terms may vary by local EY member firm and position.
The Philippines offers growing opportunities in accounting, tax, shared services, IT, customer operations, finance, and professional services, particularly in Metro Manila, Cebu, and emerging regional cities. Workplaces often value relationship building, teamwork, adaptability, and respectful communication. English is widely used in business, while Filipino and local languages shape everyday life. Lifestyle ranges from fast-paced urban living in Taguig and Makati to more relaxed coastal and provincial communities. Costs are generally lower than in many Western cities, although housing and transport in central Manila can be expensive. Foreign professionals usually need an appropriate employer-sponsored work visa or permit before starting employment; requirements depend on nationality and role. Employers commonly assist with applications, but relocation planning should cover accommodation, healthcare, transport, taxation, and document legalization. The country’s tropical climate, islands, beaches, food, and welcoming communities are major lifestyle attractions.
