EY, formerly Ernst & Young, is a global professional services organization providing assurance, tax, consulting, and strategy and transactions services. Its consulting practice supports organizations with business transformation, technology modernization, risk management, finance, supply chain, and enterprise platform programs. EY’s Global Delivery Services teams provide specialized delivery capabilities to client engagements worldwide, including SAP implementation and advisory work. In the Philippines, EY maintains major operations in Metro Manila and employs professionals across consulting, technology, audit, tax, and support functions. The firm works with businesses across industries, helping them improve performance, manage risk, adopt digital technologies, and respond to changing regulatory and market conditions. Employees generally work in structured, collaborative teams and may support multinational clients across different time zones. Compensation, benefits, and career progression vary according to experience, specialization, performance, and business needs.
The Philippines offers opportunities in IT consulting, shared services, software development, finance, customer operations, healthcare, engineering, and tourism. Metro Manila is the main corporate hub, while Cebu and Davao also have growing technology and outsourcing sectors. Filipino culture is generally welcoming, family-oriented, and English-friendly, with strong community traditions, diverse regional cuisines, and a mix of local and international influences. Lifestyle varies from fast-paced urban living, traffic, and higher rents in Manila to a more relaxed and affordable pace in provincial areas and island destinations. Foreign professionals usually need an appropriate work visa or permit sponsored or supported by their employer; requirements depend on nationality and contract length. Employers commonly assist with documentation. Relocating workers should budget for housing, transport, health insurance, and occasional travel between islands. The country offers beaches, mountains, festivals, and warm weather, but newcomers should prepare for rainy-season disruption and typhoons.
