EY, formerly Ernst & Young, is one of the world’s largest professional-services organizations and operates in assurance, consulting, strategy and transactions, tax, and legal services. Its clients include multinational companies, financial institutions, governments and fast-growing businesses. EY helps organizations improve reporting, manage risk, meet regulatory requirements, adopt new technologies and pursue sustainable growth. In Cyprus, EY serves local and international clients from offices including Nicosia and Limassol, with particular expertise in financial services, audit, tax, transactions and advisory work. The firm combines local market knowledge with access to a global network of professionals. Cyprus offers opportunities in financial services, professional consulting, technology, shipping, tourism, education and renewable energy. Nicosia is the main business and government center, while Limassol has a strong international business and maritime community. The island has a Mediterranean lifestyle, mild winters, long hot summers, extensive beaches and a relaxed social culture. English is widely used in business, although Greek is the official language and useful for daily life. Housing and living costs vary considerably, with Limassol generally the most expensive. EU and EEA citizens can live and work in Cyprus with registration requirements, while non-EU citizens normally need an employer-sponsored work and residence permit before starting employment. Candidates should verify current immigration rules, taxation, healthcare access and document requirements with Cypriot authorities or an immigration adviser. Reliable internet, international schools and frequent air connections support relocation, although public transport is more limited outside major cities.
