Candidates are expected to have a strong analytical and structured-thinking mindset, good business judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Experience in strategy, consulting, product management, business operations, marketplace platforms or logistics is valuable. Familiarity with data analysis, spreadsheets, presentations and experimentation is likely required. Grab is a Southeast Asian technology company offering everyday services through one digital platform. Founded in Malaysia and headquartered in Singapore, it operates across transport, food delivery, parcel delivery, digital payments and financial services in several countries, including Indonesia. Grab connects consumers with driver-partners, merchants and businesses, using technology to make transportation, commerce and financial access more convenient. Indonesia is one of its largest and most important markets, with extensive operations in cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Bali. The company works in a fast-moving, highly competitive environment and places strong emphasis on customer experience, data-driven decision-making, local market knowledge and collaboration. Employees commonly work across product, engineering, commercial, operations and regional teams while solving practical challenges related to urban mobility, delivery networks and digital inclusion.
Indonesia offers varied opportunities in technology, product management, logistics, e-commerce, finance, tourism and customer operations. Jakarta, on Java, is the main corporate and startup hub, while Bali has strong tourism, hospitality and remote-work communities. Java generally offers the widest professional network and public transport, though Jakarta is crowded and living costs can be high. Indonesian culture values community, politeness, respect for hierarchy and relationship-building; learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is highly useful. Lifestyle ranges from busy city living to beaches, mountains and quieter island communities. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate work visa or stay permit; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Requirements can change, so applicants should confirm current rules with their employer and Indonesian immigration authorities. Relocation planning should cover housing, healthcare, tax, insurance, transport and local registration.
