Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers opportunities in logistics, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, construction and professional services, with strong demand around London, Birmingham, Manchester, the Midlands and major ports. British culture is generally polite, diverse and informal, with a strong work-life balance, public transport network and active community life. Living costs vary considerably; London and the southeast are usually much more expensive than northern England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. Skilled workers may need a UK Skilled Worker visa, normally requiring an eligible occupation, an approved sponsor and a minimum salary; sponsorship is not guaranteed for every DHL vacancy. Irish citizens have separate residence and work rights under the Common Travel Area. Relocating requires arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, bank account and healthcare registration. The UK’s climate is mild but changeable, and employment benefits often include paid leave, pensions and healthcare-related support.
