Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates rather than an island, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are strong in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, aviation, retail, and wellness, especially for candidates with language skills and luxury-service experience. UAE culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest public dress, respectful behavior, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Dubai offers beaches, shopping, dining, desert activities, and an active expatriate community, although summer heat is intense and living costs can be high. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit; the employer normally arranges medical tests, Emirates ID, and related processing. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, gratuity, leave, and contract terms before relocating. Recruitment fees should not be paid to employers or agents.
