About the employer

Our Habitas is a hospitality and lifestyle brand focused on creating meaningful stays through wellness, culture, nature, music and community. Its properties are designed to connect guests with local environments and traditions while offering thoughtful accommodation, dining, activities and personal experiences. Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is located in Qatar’s remote desert landscape on the west coast, providing an experience centred on nature, conservation, local heritage and sustainable tourism. The property operates under Accor’s global hospitality network, which provides international standards, career opportunities and operational support. Employees typically work in a highly collaborative, multicultural environment where guest experience and authentic storytelling are important. The People and Culture team helps recruit, support and develop colleagues while maintaining a welcoming workplace aligned with the company’s values and the distinctive character of the destination.

Working in Qatar

Qatar is a compact Gulf country rather than an island, combining modern cities, desert landscapes and a long coastline. Employment opportunities are strongest in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, education, healthcare, technology and finance, with Doha as the main commercial centre and resort locations offering more remote lifestyles. The culture is welcoming but conservative: modest clothing, respect for Islam, and sensitivity during Ramadan are expected. Life can be comfortable, with modern apartments, shopping centres, international restaurants and extensive expatriate communities, although summer heat is intense. Employers commonly sponsor work visas and residence permits for overseas hires; employees should not begin work before receiving the correct authorisation. Confirm whether accommodation, transport, insurance and flights are included. A passport, authenticated qualifications and medical checks may be required. Ras Abrouq offers quiet surroundings and nature-focused living, but fewer urban amenities than Doha.
