Candidates should have relevant technical training or certification, practical experience with HVAC equipment, and a sound understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot faults, perform preventive maintenance, respond quickly to guest and operational requests, and follow safety and environmental procedures. Experience in a hotel, resort or commercial property is preferred. The successful candidate will be reliable, physically capable, service-minded and comfortable working shifts, weekends and public holidays. Good communication skills, teamwork and attention to detail are expected.
Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort is a luxury beachfront resort in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, operating under Sofitel, Accor’s French-inspired luxury hospitality brand. The resort combines contemporary comfort with distinctive French elegance and local Emirati character, offering guest rooms, suites, restaurants, leisure facilities, wellness services and extensive beach access. Its engineering team supports the safe, efficient and comfortable operation of the entire property, including guest areas, kitchens, plant rooms and building systems. As part of Accor, the resort provides an international working environment, structured hospitality standards and opportunities for training and career development. Employees may receive benefits commonly associated with UAE hotel employment, such as accommodation, meals, transportation, medical coverage and annual leave, depending on the contract and position.
The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, facilities management, construction, aviation, retail and tourism. Ras Al Khaimah is quieter and more relaxed than Dubai, with beaches, mountains, desert activities and a growing hospitality sector. UAE culture is welcoming and multicultural, while Islamic customs, modest public behavior and respect for local traditions are important. Lifestyle is modern, with reliable services, shopping, international restaurants and extensive expatriate communities. Employers normally arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID after hiring; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Confirm who pays visa, flights, accommodation, transport, insurance and end-of-service benefits before accepting an offer. The climate is hot for much of the year, so air-conditioned workplaces and suitable outdoor clothing are essential. A passport valid for at least six months and authenticated qualifications may be required.
