The Cluster Director of People and Culture leads human-resources strategy for Raffles Sentosa Singapore and Sofitel Singapore Sentosa. The role typically requires strong senior-level experience in luxury hospitality, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, payroll coordination, labour-law compliance, and organisational planning. A degree or diploma in Human Resources, business, hospitality, or a related discipline is expected, along with excellent knowledge of Singapore employment regulations. The successful candidate should be an influential leader, commercially aware, discreet, culturally sensitive, and comfortable managing teams across two luxury hotels. Strong communication, coaching, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to build an engaging workplace culture while supporting operational and financial goals.
Raffles Sentosa Singapore and Sofitel Singapore Sentosa are luxury hospitality properties within the Accor group, one of the world’s leading hotel operators. Raffles is internationally recognised for refined service, heritage, spacious accommodation, and highly personalised guest experiences. Sofitel combines French-inspired elegance with local culture and contemporary luxury. Both resorts are located on Sentosa Island, a major leisure destination in Singapore, and serve international travellers, business guests, and high-end leisure markets. Accor provides a global platform spanning luxury, premium, midscale, and economy brands, with a strong focus on hospitality, sustainability, talent development, and inclusive workplace culture. The cluster People and Culture function supports employees across both hotels, helping align recruitment, engagement, development, compliance, and organisational priorities with the standards expected of leading luxury resorts.
Singapore is a compact, multicultural island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, healthcare, logistics, education, and tourism. Hospitality professionals can find roles across luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, and integrated resorts, although competition is considerable. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also common. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, and urban, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, beaches, parks, and year-round tropical weather. Housing can be expensive, particularly near central areas and Sentosa, so many workers choose districts connected by MRT. Foreign professionals normally require an employer-sponsored Employment Pass; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and Singapore’s assessment criteria. Employers handle most of the application process. Relocating candidates should budget for rent, deposits, healthcare, transport, and living expenses, and confirm benefits such as accommodation, relocation assistance, insurance, and annual leave before accepting an offer.
