About the employer

OUR HABITAS RAS ABOUQ is a luxury wellness and lifestyle destination in Qatar operated under Habitas, a hospitality brand focused on meaningful travel, community, nature, culture, and wellbeing. The resort is located in the remote Ras Abrouq area near the UNESCO-listed Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve, offering an immersive desert and coastal setting rather than a conventional city hotel experience. Habitas properties combine accommodation with locally inspired dining, wellness, arts, music, outdoor activities, and curated guest experiences. As part of Accor’s global hospitality portfolio, the resort benefits from international standards, training, and operational support while retaining a strong emphasis on local identity and sustainable tourism. Team members are generally expected to deliver thoughtful, personalized service and contribute positively to a close-knit, multicultural resort community.

Working in Qatar

Qatar is a peninsula, not an island, with Doha as its main commercial centre and Ras Abrouq offering a much quieter desert-coast lifestyle. Hospitality, wellness, food and beverage, tourism, events, and guest experience roles are common, especially in luxury hotels and resorts. The culture is welcoming but conservative; modest dress, respect for Islamic customs, and sensitivity during Ramadan are important. Lifestyle options range from modern shopping, dining, beaches, museums, and sporting events in Doha to outdoor activities such as desert excursions and kayaking. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored work visa and residence permit; the employer commonly arranges medical checks, documentation, and relocation support. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, meals, medical cover, annual leave, flights, and contract terms before accepting. Remote resort positions may provide staff housing and transport, but access to city amenities can be limited.
