The Rooms Intern supports daily Rooms Division operations at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, assisting with guest-room readiness, housekeeping coordination, service standards and related administrative tasks. Candidates should be enrolled in or recently graduated from a hospitality, hotel management or tourism programme, with an interest in rooms operations. Good communication, a professional appearance, attention to detail, reliability and a genuine guest-service attitude are expected. The role may involve shift work, weekends and public holidays, so flexibility and the ability to work effectively with different departments are important. Previous hotel experience is helpful but may not be essential for an internship.
SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences is a luxury lifestyle property in Dubai operated under the SLS brand by Ennismore, part of Accor. Located in Business Bay, the hotel combines upscale accommodation with distinctive design, restaurants, nightlife, pools and branded residences. SLS properties are known for a lively, fashionable atmosphere and service aimed at both international visitors and local guests. The Dubai property offers a range of hotel and residential experiences supported by departments including Rooms, Food and Beverage, Engineering, Events, Finance and Guest Services. As part of the wider Accor network, it provides exposure to international hospitality standards, structured training and opportunities to build a career within a global hotel group.
The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers strong hospitality opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and other destinations. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions and airlines regularly recruit interns and entry-level staff, especially in rooms, food and beverage, guest services and events. Life is modern, international and fast-paced, with excellent shopping, transport, beaches and entertainment. The culture is multicultural, while local customs require respectful dress in public places, consideration during Ramadan and compliance with UAE laws. Employers normally arrange an employment or internship visa and work permit; candidates should not work on a tourist visa. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance and visa sponsorship. Dubai accommodation can be expensive, so employer-provided housing or allowances are particularly valuable.
