About the employer

Our Habitas is a global hospitality and lifestyle company focused on creating meaningful, experience-led destinations that connect guests with local culture, nature and community. The brand operates hotels, resorts and retreats in distinctive locations, combining thoughtful design, wellness, food, music, sustainability and immersive programming. Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is located in Qatar’s remote western desert, offering a luxury retreat inspired by the surrounding landscape and the region’s heritage. The company is part of the wider Accor hospitality ecosystem, which provides global scale, operational expertise and opportunities across an extensive international network. Employees are generally expected to be passionate about hospitality, culturally sensitive, collaborative and committed to responsible tourism. The brand appeals to travellers seeking authentic, wellness-oriented and environmentally conscious experiences rather than conventional city-hotel stays.

Working in Qatar

Qatar is a compact Gulf country rather than an island, with Doha as its main commercial and cultural centre and desert, coastal and inland destinations nearby. Job opportunities are strongest in hospitality, tourism, aviation, events, retail, construction, finance, technology and energy. Workplace culture values professionalism, punctuality, respect for hierarchy and sensitivity to Islamic customs. Doha offers modern malls, restaurants, museums and international communities, while resort roles may involve quieter, remote living and staff accommodation. Summers are extremely hot, so air-conditioned facilities and transport are important; winters are pleasant and popular for outdoor activities. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored work visa and residence permit, with medical checks and document attestation commonly involved. Employers may provide accommodation, transport, flights, insurance and annual leave, but packages vary. Research housing, contract benefits and probation terms carefully before relocating. Qatar is generally safe, though local laws regarding alcohol, dress and public behaviour should be observed.
