Workplace culture generally values punctuality, direct communication, safety and teamwork. Popular leisure activities include beaches, national parks, sport and weekend travel. Foreign workers may explore options such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visas or skilled migration, depending on their nationality, qualifications and occupation. Visa conditions can limit working hours or require specific employers and regional work, so check the Department of Home Affairs website before accepting a position.
