Thailand offers hospitality opportunities across Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Chang, Koh Phangan, Krabi and coastal destinations such as Rayong. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, diving operators and tourism companies regularly recruit both experienced professionals and entry-level staff, with stronger opportunities during peak travel seasons. Thai culture values respect, politeness, family, Buddhism and the traditional greeting known as the wai. Island life is generally warm, social and outdoors-focused, although transport, healthcare and shopping can be more limited than in Bangkok. Salaries vary by island, experience and employer; accommodation or meals may sometimes be included. Foreign workers normally need an appropriate Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit arranged with employer support before legally working. Applicants should verify contracts, benefits, accommodation, transport and visa responsibilities, and budget for deposits, travel and everyday living costs.
