Emirates is the international airline of the Emirates Group, headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1985, it has grown into one of the world’s largest long-haul carriers, operating a broad passenger and cargo network from Dubai to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. The airline is known for its large wide-body fleet, global connectivity, customer service and substantial investment in technology, safety and operational standards. Emirates employs a multinational workforce across flight operations, airport services, engineering, commercial functions, corporate departments and support services. Employees may receive competitive tax-free salaries, medical cover, annual leave, travel benefits and relocation support, although packages vary by role and employment grade. Aviation-security positions contribute to protecting passengers, employees, aircraft, cargo and airport operations while ensuring compliance with international and UAE requirements.
The UAE is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the widest range of aviation, logistics, security, technology, hospitality and professional-services jobs. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly international population; modest dress and respectful public behavior are appreciated. Lifestyle options range from modern city living, beaches and shopping to desert activities and historic neighborhoods. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are comfortable. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing and permits after an offer is accepted. Bring authenticated qualifications where required and confirm contract benefits, accommodation, health insurance and relocation allowances. English is widely used in workplaces, though Arabic is the official language. Housing, schooling and transport can be expensive, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so compare the complete compensation package before relocating.
