Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with modern cities, deserts, beaches and strong international connections. Job opportunities are especially available in aviation, hospitality, logistics, construction, healthcare, technology, retail and facilities services. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large expatriate population; modest dress, respect for religion and local customs are important. Lifestyle can be convenient and active, though housing, schooling and leisure costs vary considerably. Summers are extremely hot, so outdoor workers should be prepared for high temperatures and employer safety procedures. Most foreign employees need an employment visa sponsored by their company. Employers commonly arrange work permits and medical checks, while requirements depend on nationality and contract. Before relocating, confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, benefits and visa terms. Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer extensive public services, international communities and good air links.
