About the employer

Emirates is one of the world’s leading international airlines and the flagship carrier of the United Arab Emirates. Based in Dubai, it operates an extensive global network using a modern wide-body fleet, connecting the Middle East with destinations across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Australasia. The Emirates Group also includes aviation services, cargo, airport services, hospitality and travel-related businesses. The company is known for its multicultural workforce, high service standards and significant investment in safety, technology, training and operational excellence. Employees may receive benefits such as travel privileges, medical coverage, annual leave, and relocation or accommodation support depending on the position and employment terms. Security roles are particularly important because they protect passengers, employees, facilities, aircraft and sensitive operational information across the group’s international activities.

Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates, not an island, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of aviation, logistics, hospitality, technology and security jobs. The culture blends Arab and Islamic traditions with a highly international population; respectful dress, public behaviour and observance of local laws are important. Lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent infrastructure, beaches, shopping, restaurants and desert activities, although summer temperatures are extremely high and living costs can be substantial. Most foreign employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; companies commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing and work permits. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation or housing allowance, transport, insurance, leave and end-of-service benefits. A passport, authenticated qualifications, police clearance and medical records may be requested. Dubai’s public transport is strong, while car ownership can be useful outside central areas.
