About the employer

Shangri-La is an international luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other major destinations. The group is known for warm Asian hospitality, attentive personal service and high standards in accommodation, dining, wellness and events. Shangri-La hotels commonly provide structured training, employee benefits, staff dining and opportunities to develop within the wider hotel network. In Hong Kong, the company operates established luxury properties serving business travellers, leisure guests, families and major events. A Public Area Attendant supports the guest experience behind the scenes by ensuring that shared spaces remain clean, safe and presentable throughout the day. Working in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a busy, international city with strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, retail, finance, technology and tourism. Hospitality jobs are concentrated around Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay, the airport and resort areas. The culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences; politeness, punctuality and respect for hierarchy are valued at work. Hong Kong offers excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, hiking and lively neighbourhoods, although housing can be expensive and space is limited. Overseas employees generally need an appropriate work visa, commonly sponsored by the employer, and should not begin work before approval. Employers may request proof of qualifications, experience and a valid health or identity document. New arrivals should budget carefully for rent, deposits, transport and daily expenses, and confirm accommodation, benefits, working hours and visa support before accepting an offer.
