Shangri-La Group is a major luxury hospitality company headquartered in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations. Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. The group is known for refined service, distinctive dining, wellness facilities and strong attention to guest experience. Shangri-La hotels typically provide structured training, international career opportunities and employee benefits, although details vary by property and position. In Hong Kong, the company operates prominent luxury hotels and restaurants serving both local and international guests. Employees are generally expected to demonstrate professionalism, cultural awareness, teamwork and a commitment to the company’s high service standards.
Hong Kong offers many opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, bars, tourism, finance, retail and international business. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions with global influences, reflected in its food, festivals, architecture and fast-paced urban life. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, vibrant nightlife, hiking trails, beaches and convenient access to nearby islands and mainland China. Housing can be expensive, especially on Hong Kong Island and in central Kowloon, so many workers share apartments or live in the New Territories. Foreign employees normally need an employment visa sponsored by their employer under Hong Kong’s General Employment Policy; approval depends on qualifications, a genuine job offer and market-standard pay. Employers may assist with paperwork, but candidates should confirm accommodation, medical coverage, work hours and service-charge arrangements before relocating.
