Shangri-La Group is a major luxury hospitality company founded in Hong Kong, with hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international destinations. Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. The group is known for Asian-inspired hospitality, personalised service, quality accommodation and extensive food, beverage and wellness facilities. Shangri-La Singapore is one of the city’s established luxury hotels, set among landscaped gardens near Orchard Road. It offers guestrooms, suites, restaurants, meeting venues, recreational facilities and family-oriented services. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment where attention to detail, warmth, teamwork and consistent guest care are highly valued. Career opportunities range across hotel operations, culinary services, events, sales, finance, engineering and leadership.
Singapore is a compact, highly developed island city-state and a major regional centre for hospitality, finance, technology, aviation and tourism. Hotel professionals can find opportunities in luxury hotels, resorts, serviced residences, restaurants, attractions, airlines and event companies. The culture is multicultural, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil; punctuality, courtesy and service professionalism are important. Lifestyle is convenient and generally safe, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks and strong healthcare. Foreign employees usually need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass, and approval depends on salary, qualifications and current regulations. Before relocating, candidates should confirm the employer’s sponsorship, accommodation arrangements, medical coverage and contract terms. Rental costs can be high, so budgeting and commuting distance should be considered carefully.
