The successful candidate should be warm, creative, energetic, patient and confident managing a team while delivering engaging, personalised experiences for guests.
Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group headquartered in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. The group is known for its Asian-inspired approach to service, emphasising genuine care, personalised hospitality and memorable guest experiences. Shangri-La hotels typically offer accommodation, restaurants, wellness facilities, meetings and events, and family-oriented services. The company employs colleagues from diverse backgrounds and provides opportunities across hotel operations, guest relations, food and beverage, culinary services, sales, finance and management. Its Hong Kong properties serve business and leisure travellers and place particular importance on refined service, cultural understanding, safety and consistent brand standards.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in luxury hotels, tourism, restaurants, retail, finance, technology, education and international business. The city combines Chinese traditions with a highly global, fast-paced urban lifestyle. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, efficient services, diverse food, vibrant nightlife and easy access to beaches, hiking trails and outlying islands. Rent can be expensive, especially in central districts, although areas such as Kowloon and the New Territories may offer better value. International hires generally need an employment visa sponsored by their employer, with approval depending on qualifications, experience and the role’s local labour-market requirements. Employers commonly assist with visa paperwork, but candidates should confirm housing, medical cover, relocation support and tax arrangements before accepting an offer. Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in hospitality and business; Mandarin is also useful.
