Shangri-La residences typically combine private accommodation with hotel-style facilities, security, engineering support, dining and recreation services. The position in Indonesia would be part of a multicultural property team supporting residents, visitors and colleagues in a safe and well-maintained environment.
Indonesia offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, property management, engineering, security and facilities operations, especially in Bali, Java, Lombok and other resort destinations. Bali is popular for its beaches, international community and active lifestyle, while Jakarta and other parts of Java provide larger urban job markets and better access to business services. Local culture values respect, community, religious diversity and courteous communication; modest dress and sensitivity around ceremonies are important. Living costs vary considerably, with resort areas often more expensive than smaller cities. Foreign nationals generally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate work visa or stay permit before starting employment; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers normally assist with immigration paperwork, contracts, accommodation and relocation details. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, insurance, flights, tax obligations and visa responsibility directly with Shangri-La before accepting an offer.
