The Remediation NFRI SME supports ANZ’s remediation programs involving non-financial risk and integrity matters, such as conduct, customer outcomes, controls, governance and regulatory obligations. The role typically requires strong experience in risk management, compliance, remediation, control testing, investigation or governance within banking or another highly regulated industry. The successful candidate should be able to interpret policies and regulations, assess impacts, identify root causes, develop practical remediation actions and produce clear reporting for senior stakeholders. Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience working with regulators, audit teams, legal advisers or large transformation programs would be valuable.

About the employer

ANZ, or Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, is one of Australia’s major banks, with operations across Australia, New Zealand and selected international markets. Headquartered in Melbourne, ANZ provides retail, commercial, institutional and private banking services to millions of customers. Its activities include everyday banking, home lending, business finance, corporate banking, payments, markets and wealth-related services. The bank employs a large workforce across branches, contact centres, technology, operations and professional functions. ANZ has been investing in digital banking, simplification, stronger risk management and improved customer outcomes. Roles in remediation and non-financial risk are important because the bank must respond effectively to regulatory expectations, identify control weaknesses and ensure customers are treated fairly. The organisation offers opportunities in a structured, highly regulated environment, although employees should expect formal governance, detailed documentation and accountability for delivering sustainable improvements.
