The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving automated production equipment, including PLCs, control systems, sensors, drives and industrial networks. Candidates typically need a relevant electrical, instrumentation or automation trade qualification, practical experience in industrial maintenance, and the ability to read electrical and control-system drawings. Familiarity with PLC programming, fault diagnosis, variable-speed drives and preventative maintenance is highly valued.
