The Golf & Leisure Attendant supports the smooth operation of the resort’s golf course and leisure facilities while delivering friendly, professional service to guests. Typical duties include assisting golfers, preparing and maintaining equipment, monitoring recreational areas, helping with bookings or guest enquiries, and keeping facilities clean, safe and presentable. Applicants should have strong customer-service and communication skills, a positive attitude, good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather. Previous experience in golf, hospitality, leisure or resort operations is helpful but may not be essential. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and changing shifts is expected. A current driver’s licence and responsible work practices may also be required.
AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort is a leisure and accommodation property in the Hunter Valley wine region of New South Wales, operated by Minor Hotels. The resort combines hotel accommodation, self-contained villas, golf, dining, conference facilities and recreational experiences for holidaymakers, groups and corporate guests. Its setting among vineyards and rolling countryside makes it popular with golfers, wedding parties, weekend visitors and wine tourists. As part of the AVANI brand, the resort focuses on contemporary hospitality, relaxed service and memorable local experiences. Employees typically work in a collaborative resort environment where guest satisfaction, safety, presentation and efficient teamwork are important. The role offers exposure to tourism, golf operations and regional hospitality while working in one of Australia’s best-known visitor destinations.
Australia offers hospitality, tourism, golf, housekeeping, food service, maintenance and resort jobs in cities, coastal areas and regional destinations such as the Hunter Valley, Queensland and Western Australia. The culture is generally informal, multicultural and strongly focused on workplace safety, fair treatment and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from vibrant cities to relaxed regional communities, with excellent beaches, national parks, sport and outdoor activities. Foreign workers usually need an appropriate visa, such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa or another work-authorised pathway; conditions and age limits vary, so check the Australian Department of Home Affairs before applying. Relocation costs include flights, accommodation deposits, transport, insurance and tax registration. Regional resort work can offer a quieter lifestyle, but a car may be useful because public transport is limited. Confirm pay, accommodation and visa sponsorship directly with the employer.
