The Energy & Asset Efficiency Analyst supports Carnival’s efforts to reduce fuel use, energy costs, emissions, and asset-related expenses across its cruise operations. Typical requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy management, finance, analytics, business, or a related field; experience working with large datasets, performance reporting, and spreadsheet or business-intelligence tools; and strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability, maintenance, or maritime operations is useful. The successful candidate is expected to turn operational data into practical recommendations, monitor key performance indicators, prepare clear reports, work with technical and corporate teams, and help deliver measurable efficiency improvements.
Carnival Corporation & plc is one of the world’s largest leisure travel companies and operates a broad portfolio of cruise brands, including Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises, Cunard, and others. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, the company serves millions of guests each year through a global fleet visiting destinations across the Caribbean, Europe, Alaska, Australia, and other regions. Its operations include ship management, hospitality, dining, entertainment, excursions, retail, technology, and corporate support functions. Carnival also focuses on improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, managing resources responsibly, and investing in new maritime technologies. Employees may work in shoreside offices, onboard ships, or in specialized operational roles supporting the company’s international cruise network.
Cruise employment offers opportunities in hotel operations, culinary services, guest relations, entertainment, marine operations, engineering, retail, photography, security, and administration. Life onboard is international and fast-paced: employees work long shifts, share crew accommodation, follow strict safety procedures, and meet colleagues and guests from many cultures. In return, workers often receive accommodation, meals, travel between ports, and the chance to visit Caribbean, Mediterranean, or other island destinations during scheduled breaks. Shore leave is usually limited by operational duties and port schedules. Most maritime crew members need a valid passport, medical clearance, safety training, and a seafarer’s visa or U.S. C1/D visa when joining or transiting through the United States. Shoreside roles may require local work authorization and relocation to Miami or another company office. Contract lengths and benefits vary by position and nationality.
