Malaysia offers technology opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, Penang and Johor, particularly in software development, enterprise applications, cloud, data, shared services and consulting. Kuala Lumpur provides the broadest job market, international schools, transport and urban amenities, while Penang combines a strong technology sector with a more relaxed lifestyle. Malaysian culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences reflected in food, festivals and daily life. Living costs are generally lower than in Singapore or many Western cities, though central Kuala Lumpur housing can be expensive. Foreign professionals normally need employer sponsorship for an Employment Pass, with approval and salary requirements applying; dependants may require separate passes. Candidates should confirm visa rules, tax obligations and relocation benefits with Capgemini. Malaysia has tropical weather, good regional travel connections and many coastal and island destinations, including Langkawi and Tioman.
