The Floor Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors, ensuring guest rooms, corridors and public areas meet Shangri-La’s cleanliness and presentation standards. Typical requirements include hotel housekeeping experience, supervisory ability, strong attention to detail, good communication skills and familiarity with room inspection and related procedures. Cantonese and English are useful, while Mandarin may be advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to allocate duties, inspect completed rooms, coordinate with Front Office and Engineering, respond professionally to guest requests, manage supplies and support training. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, together with a proactive, service-oriented attitude, is essential.
Shangri-La Group is a leading luxury hospitality company headquartered in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and related properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations. Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. The group is recognised for personalised service, elegant facilities and the welcoming spirit associated with Asian hospitality. Shangri-La hotels commonly provide accommodation, dining, meetings, wellness and leisure services, supported by international standards and local expertise. Employees typically work in multicultural teams and are expected to deliver attentive, professional guest service. The company offers opportunities across hotel operations, culinary, engineering, finance, sales and corporate functions, with career development possibilities within Hong Kong and its wider global network.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, retail, finance, technology, logistics, education and professional services. Its culture combines Cantonese traditions, international influences, festivals, excellent food and a fast-paced urban lifestyle. The city has efficient public transport, extensive shopping and dining, hiking trails, beaches and nearby islands, although housing can be expensive and space is limited. Foreign professionals generally need an employment visa sponsored by a local employer; the company normally supports the application, and eligibility depends on qualifications, experience and a confirmed job offer. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, a Hong Kong identity card, banking and healthcare access. Cantonese is valuable for daily life, while English is widely used in business and hotels. Relocation is most practical when the employer clearly explains salary, accommodation, insurance, visa support and working hours.
