The group operates properties under the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. Its hotels are known for attentive service, high-quality dining, distinctive guest experiences and strong operational standards. Shangri-La places emphasis on employee development, teamwork, cultural awareness and creating a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues. Working in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a vibrant international destination made up of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, with easy access to smaller islands and beaches. Hospitality professionals can find opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, clubs, catering companies and tourism businesses, although competition is strong and Cantonese is useful for many local roles. The culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences; festivals, dim sum, markets, hiking and waterfront areas are central to local life. The city offers excellent public transport, varied dining and an energetic lifestyle, but housing can be expensive and living spaces are often compact. Foreign employees generally need an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer before starting work. Candidates should confirm contract terms, accommodation, medical cover and visa support, and budget carefully for rent and daily expenses.
