Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf country rather than an island, with major employment centres in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. Hospitality offers opportunities in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, wellness, and supporting functions such as EHS and engineering. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a large international community; respectful dress and behaviour are important, especially during Ramadan. Lifestyle is convenient and cosmopolitan, with excellent shopping, beaches, restaurants, desert activities, and public transport in larger cities, although housing and summer temperatures can be challenging. Most overseas employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas, medical screening, and an Emirates ID. UAE nationals may access Emiratisation-linked opportunities. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, airfare, and other benefits before relocating.
