Working in Philippines

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Siargao, and major cities such as Manila. Resort islands regularly hire chefs, restaurant managers, housekeeping staff, front-office professionals, diving instructors, and wellness specialists, especially during peak tourism periods. Boracay is known for its white-sand beaches, water activities, lively dining scene, and relaxed island lifestyle, although living costs can be higher in tourist areas. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and strongly influenced by both Asian and Western traditions; English is widely used in workplaces. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate visa, while requirements vary by nationality and contract. Employers commonly assist with documentation, medical checks, accommodation, and relocation arrangements. Candidates should confirm housing, transport, insurance, service charge, and flight provisions before accepting an offer. Tropical weather, seasonal storms, and occasional island logistics should also be considered.
