About the employer

Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and known for its hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other international markets. Its properties are recognized for attentive service, comfortable accommodation, dining experiences, wellness facilities and strong connections with local culture. In the United Arab Emirates, Shangri-La operates premium hotels serving leisure travelers, business guests, families and events. The company places emphasis on guest satisfaction, teamwork, service standards and employee development. An F&B Coordinator would typically work closely with restaurant, banquet, kitchen, finance and hotel administration teams, helping the department operate smoothly behind the scenes. As an Emiratization opportunity, this position is also intended to support the development and career growth of UAE nationals within the hospitality industry.

Working in United Arab Emirates

Although the UAE is not an island, it offers a coastal lifestyle across seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi providing the largest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are available in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, tourism and aviation, while Emiratization programs support UAE nationals entering private-sector careers. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Arabic hospitality and a highly international population; modest dress and respectful behavior are appreciated, particularly during Ramadan. Lifestyle options range from beaches, malls and fine dining to desert trips, water sports and cultural attractions. Employers commonly arrange or support a work permit, residence visa, medical testing and Emirates ID process. International hires should confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance and flights are included in the offer. Costs vary considerably, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so checking housing and commuting arrangements before relocation is advisable.
