Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates rather than a single island, with major employment hubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. Hospitality opportunities are available in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, event venues, theme parks and tourism businesses, including technical audiovisual positions. The culture combines Arab traditions, Islamic values and a highly international population, so modest dress, politeness and respect for local customs are important. Lifestyle options range from beaches and desert activities to shopping, dining and cultural attractions. Employers usually arrange an employment visa and residence permit after hiring; working without the correct permit is not allowed. Packages may include accommodation, transport, medical insurance and flights. Candidates should confirm contract terms, probation, accommodation and visa costs before relocating.
