Its Malaysian business offers a broad range of banking products, including deposits, lending, cash management, trade finance, cards and wealth solutions. Malaysia offers strong opportunities in banking, technology, shared services, engineering, healthcare, education, tourism and manufacturing, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor. The country blends Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous traditions, with festivals, diverse cuisine and generally welcoming communities. Kuala Lumpur provides modern transport, shopping and international schools, while Penang offers a slower lifestyle, heritage streets and beaches. Living costs are moderate compared with Singapore and many Western cities, although central Kuala Lumpur housing can be expensive. Malaysia has a tropical climate, excellent food and convenient regional travel. Foreign professionals normally require an Employment Pass sponsored by their employer; approval depends on salary, qualifications and the role, and rules can change. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and tax registration. English is widely used in business, while learning basic Malay helps with daily life and integration.
