About the employer

DHL is a global logistics and supply-chain company operating in more than 220 countries and territories. Its businesses include express delivery, freight forwarding, contract logistics, supply-chain management and e-commerce logistics. DHL serves corporate and individual customers through extensive air, road, ocean and warehousing networks, supported by technology and data-driven operational systems. The company is part of DHL Group and is headquartered in Bonn, Germany. In Indonesia, DHL supports international trade and domestic supply chains across industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, technology and consumer goods. Employees generally work in an international, process-focused environment where customer service, compliance, safety, sustainability and continuous improvement are important. The organisation offers career opportunities in operations, commercial functions, technology, finance, customer service and logistics management.

Working in Indonesia

Indonesia offers opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, technology, tourism, finance and consumer goods, especially around Java, Bali, Sumatra and Batam. Jakarta and nearby cities provide the broadest corporate job market, while Surabaya is a major industrial and maritime centre. Bali offers a relaxed international lifestyle but fewer senior corporate roles outside tourism and services. Indonesian culture values respect, community, family, religious diversity and relationship-building; learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is highly useful. Living costs vary considerably, with Jakarta and Bali generally more expensive than many other regions. Relocation usually requires an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate limited-stay visa; foreigners should not work on a tourist visa. Employers commonly assist with immigration, tax registration and relocation arrangements. Candidates should verify current requirements with Indonesian immigration authorities or a qualified relocation adviser before moving.
