DHL is seeking a Motorsport Class 1 Driver to support the transport of racing equipment and event freight, potentially across the UK and Europe. Candidates should hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and a clean or suitably managed driving record. Professional HGV driving experience is expected, ideally in time-critical, international, motorsport, events, or specialist transport operations. The role requires strong vehicle and load-security awareness, accurate paperwork, reliability, flexibility, and a customer-focused attitude. Candidates should be comfortable with irregular hours, extended periods away from home, tight schedules, loading and unloading activities, and working in busy race paddocks. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a travelling team are important.
DHL is one of the world’s largest logistics and supply-chain companies, operating in more than 220 countries and territories. Part of DHL Group, it provides express delivery, freight forwarding, contract logistics, supply-chain management, and specialist transportation services. DHL works with businesses across industries, including automotive, aerospace, healthcare, technology, retail, and motorsport. Its motorsport operations involve the secure, time-sensitive movement of cars, equipment, tools, spare parts, hospitality materials, and other event freight between venues worldwide. The company is known for its extensive international network, structured operating procedures, and focus on safety, reliability, sustainability, and customer service. Employees may work in warehouses, transport operations, offices, airports, or at major sporting and commercial events. Roles supporting motorsport can involve frequent travel, demanding schedules, and close coordination with teams, event organisers, customs specialists, and other logistics professionals.
The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in logistics, freight, transport, warehousing, engineering, technology, healthcare, and professional services. Major employment centres include London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and areas around major ports and airports. UK culture is generally diverse, informal, and multicultural, with good public services, established worker protections, and a strong sporting and entertainment scene. Lifestyle costs vary considerably; London and the southeast are usually the most expensive, while many northern regions, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland offer lower housing costs. Non-UK nationals normally need an appropriate visa, such as the Skilled Worker route, although eligibility depends on the occupation, employer sponsorship, salary, and current immigration rules. Professional HGV drivers may need UK-recognised licensing and Driver CPC requirements. Before relocating, check visa conditions, licence conversion, accommodation, tax, healthcare access, and transport arrangements.
