About the employer

DHL is one of the world's largest logistics and supply-chain companies, operating across international express delivery, freight transportation, warehousing, contract logistics and e-commerce fulfilment. Its UK operations support businesses and consumers through road transport, parcel delivery, freight forwarding and specialist supply-chain services. DHL employs drivers, warehouse teams, transport planners, engineers, customer-service staff and corporate professionals across a wide network of depots and sites. The company places strong emphasis on safety, reliability, operational efficiency and customer service. Depending on the division, employees may work with time-critical deliveries, industrial customers, retail networks or international shipments. DHL is also investing in fleet modernisation, technology and lower-emission transport solutions. Benefits, pay and working arrangements vary by business unit and location, but permanent roles commonly include holiday entitlement, pension contributions and structured training.

Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in logistics, haulage, warehousing, courier services, ports and supply-chain management, particularly around London, the Midlands, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and major ports. Working culture generally values punctuality, safety, clear communication and respect for agreed procedures. Life can offer excellent public services, diverse communities, historic towns and countryside, although housing and transport costs are high in larger cities. Class 1 driving work usually requires a UK-recognised C+E licence, CPC qualification and tachograph compliance. Non-UK nationals must have the right to work before starting employment. A visitor visa does not permit ordinary paid work, and visa sponsorship should never be assumed for driving roles; check current UK Home Office rules and DHL's vacancy details. Relocating involves arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, bank account, tax registration and, where necessary, licence exchange or UK testing.
