Major employment centres include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Workplace culture is generally practical, direct and collaborative, with attention to safety, inclusion and work-life balance. Lifestyle options range from busy city living to beaches, outdoor activities and regional communities, although housing and transport costs can be high in major cities. Skilled professionals may explore employer-sponsored visas, the Skilled Independent visa, state-nominated pathways or the Temporary Skill Shortage program, depending on occupation, qualifications and experience.
