Malaysia offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism and facilities management, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah and Sarawak. Kuching provides a relaxed, affordable lifestyle with a strong mix of Malay, Chinese, Indigenous and colonial influences. Employees can enjoy local food, riverside areas, cultural festivals, rainforests and nearby coastal destinations. Malaysia is generally warm and humid throughout the year, so light clothing and adaptability to tropical weather are useful. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and should not begin employment before approval. Employers commonly guide successful applicants through immigration and medical requirements. Relocating staff should budget for transport, accommodation deposits, food and document costs, and confirm whether housing, meals, uniforms or insurance are included in the offer.
