The Complex Housekeeping Coordinator supports the housekeeping department across the property by coordinating room assignments, updating room status, handling guest and departmental requests, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate communication between housekeeping, front office, engineering, and other teams. Candidates are generally expected to have hotel or housekeeping administration experience, strong organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence using computers and hotel systems. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is important. The successful candidate should remain calm under pressure, protect guest privacy, follow Marriott and Westin service standards, and help ensure rooms and public areas are clean, safe, and ready on schedule.
The Westin City Centre Bahrain is a premium Marriott International hotel connected to City Centre Bahrain, one of the country’s major shopping and entertainment destinations. Westin is known for its wellness-focused approach, including the Heavenly Bed, nourishing dining, fitness facilities, and programs designed to help guests feel well while travelling. The property serves business travellers, leisure visitors, families, and groups, and operates alongside a large retail and entertainment complex. As part of Marriott International, the hotel follows internationally recognized standards for guest service, housekeeping, safety, training, and employee development. The workplace typically includes multicultural teams and offers exposure to luxury hospitality operations. Employees may receive benefits such as staff meals, uniforms, transport or accommodation support, training, and Marriott associate travel discounts, depending on the position and employment package.
Bahrain is a small Gulf island nation with strong opportunities in hospitality, retail, finance, aviation, healthcare, construction, and tourism. Manama and the Seef area offer many hotels, restaurants, malls, and entertainment venues, while Muharraq and other districts provide a quieter residential atmosphere. The culture combines Gulf traditions with a notably international and welcoming community; modest dress and respect for local customs are expected. Lifestyle is convenient, with modern shopping centres, beaches, restaurants, gyms, and weekend activities, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor work visas and arrange residence permits after hiring; foreign employees should not work on a tourist visa. Relocation packages vary, so confirm accommodation, transport, medical insurance, flights, working hours, and gratuity before accepting. Bahrain’s cost of living is generally moderate for the Gulf, but housing can be expensive without employer support.
