Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering the largest number of hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, and technology jobs. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international workforce. Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used at work. Abu Dhabi offers a polished, family-friendly lifestyle, modern infrastructure, beaches, desert activities, shopping, museums, and excellent healthcare. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are comfortable. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer generally arranges medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and labor authorization. UAE Nationals may have additional employment and development programs. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, leave, and relocation benefits before accepting an offer. Living costs can be high, particularly for housing, although Abu Dhabi is generally quieter than Dubai.
