The Westin Manila is a luxury hotel in the Philippines operated under Westin Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. Westin is known for its wellness-focused guest experience, including the signature Heavenly Bed, nutritious dining, fitness facilities, and restorative spaces designed to help travelers feel their best. The property serves business travelers, leisure guests, groups, and events, while providing career opportunities across rooms, food and beverage, culinary, engineering, sales, and administration. Employees generally work within Marriott’s established standards for service, guest care, inclusion, safety, and professional development. As a global hotel group, Marriott may also offer structured training and opportunities to build experience across brands and destinations.
The Philippines is an archipelago with strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, and business services. Major hospitality markets include Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao, and popular beach destinations. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, English-friendly, and strongly influenced by local traditions, Spanish history, and modern Asian life. Manila offers extensive career options, shopping, dining, and public transport, but also heavy traffic and a busy urban pace. Island destinations provide a more relaxed lifestyle, outdoor activities, and closer communities, though salaries and services may vary. Foreign workers normally need employer sponsorship, an appropriate work permit, and an Alien Employment Permit, followed by the relevant visa or immigration authorization. Candidates should confirm requirements with the employer and Philippine authorities. Relocation planning should include accommodation, health insurance, transport, banking, and emergency funds.
