As part of Marriott International, the hotel follows global standards for hospitality, guest service, employee training, and operational excellence. Team members typically work in a multicultural environment and may receive benefits such as service charge, staff meals, uniforms, training, healthcare support, or employee travel programs, depending on the employment contract. Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities on Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Krabi, and other resort destinations. Jobs are common in hotels, restaurants, diving centers, wellness resorts, tourism services, and event operations, although Bangkok generally offers more corporate and year-round positions. Thai culture values politeness, respect, modesty, and saving face; learning basic Thai phrases is useful. Island life is relaxed and outdoors-oriented, with beaches, diving, local markets, motorbike travel, and a lower-cost lifestyle than many major cities, though popular islands can be expensive during high season. Foreigners normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before legally working. Tourist or visa-exempt entry does not authorize employment. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, service charge, transport, insurance, and visa support before relocating. Phuket and Samui have better international transport and services, while smaller islands offer quieter living but fewer facilities.
