Spain’s islands offer varied hospitality opportunities, particularly in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, security, maintenance, wellness and tourism management. The Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca, have a strong seasonal market, while the Canary Islands provide more year-round employment because of their mild climate. Island life is generally outdoor-focused, with beaches, water sports, relaxed social customs and vibrant local festivals. Housing can be expensive and limited in major resort areas, especially during peak season, so accommodation should be arranged early. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work in Spain with the required registration. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit or another valid residence and work authorization before starting employment. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, contract length and seasonal conditions directly with the employer. Spanish is important for daily life, while English and other languages are valuable in international hotels.
