The Taguig operation is part of the country’s major business and technology hub, serving clients across Asia-Pacific and other global markets. EY promotes structured learning, professional development and collaboration across borders. The Philippines offers strong opportunities in IT consulting, shared services, software, cybersecurity, finance, healthcare, tourism and customer operations. Manila and nearby Taguig provide the largest concentration of multinational employers, while Cebu, Clark, Iloilo and Davao offer growing technology and business-process communities. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented and English-friendly, with a strong emphasis on hospitality and relationship building. Urban life is convenient but can involve traffic and higher housing costs; provincial areas offer a slower pace, beaches and lower living expenses. Popular destinations include Luzon’s mountain and coastal areas, the Visayas islands such as Cebu, Bohol and Boracay, and Mindanao’s nature destinations. Foreign professionals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly a 9(g) work visa; short-term entry is not permission to work. Secure a job offer, confirm sponsorship, budget for housing and healthcare, and check current immigration rules before relocating.
