Working in Philippines

The Philippines offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, SAP and ERP services, shared services, finance, BPO, engineering, tourism, healthcare, and digital operations. Metro Manila, particularly Taguig and Makati, is the main corporate hub, while Cebu and Davao also provide growing employment markets. Filipino culture is generally welcoming, family-oriented, English-speaking, and relationship-driven. Lifestyle ranges from busy urban living, shopping, and nightlife to affordable coastal and outdoor experiences across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Living costs vary, with Manila housing and commuting usually more expensive. Foreign professionals normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and a 9(g) work visa; requirements should be confirmed with Philippine authorities.
