Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a Gulf federation, with Dubai offering strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and business services. Hospitality jobs are especially available in luxury resorts, city hotels, restaurants, and housekeeping operations. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international population; respectful dress and behavior are important, particularly during Ramadan. Dubai offers modern infrastructure, beaches, shopping, entertainment, public transport, and a generally warm, sunny lifestyle, although summers are extremely hot. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation, transport, meals, and health insurance. Candidates should confirm the full package, working hours, probation terms, and recruitment fees before accepting an offer. The cost of living can be high, especially for private housing, so staff accommodation and transport are valuable benefits.
