About the employer

The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket is a secluded Marriott International resort on Naka Yai Island, off the east coast of Phuket, Thailand. The property combines private-island surroundings with Luxury Collection hospitality, offering villas and suites, restaurants, spa facilities, swimming pools and leisure activities. Guests typically arrive by resort boat and enjoy views of Phang Nga Bay, tropical landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere away from Phuket’s busier tourist areas. As part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection brand, the resort focuses on personalized service, distinctive local experiences and high standards in accommodation and dining. Employees work in an international hospitality setting and may receive benefits such as staff meals, uniforms, training, transportation or accommodation support, depending on the position and current company policy.

Working in Thailand

Phuket and nearby islands offer many hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, tourism companies and marine activities. Jobs are commonly available in food and beverage, housekeeping, front office, guest relations, engineering and sales, with seasonal demand often increasing during the November-to-April high season. Thai culture values politeness, respect, calm communication and appropriate dress, while island life is relaxed and strongly connected to beaches, markets, temples and local food. Phuket provides better shopping, healthcare and transport than smaller islands, although commuting and boat schedules can affect remote resort work. Foreign employees normally need a Thai employer to arrange a work permit and an appropriate visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Applicants should confirm accommodation, boat transfers, meals, service charge, insurance and visa sponsorship before accepting an offer. Living costs vary, with Phuket generally more expensive than mainland Thailand.
